BEIJING, Nov. 16 (Xinhuanet) -- "I wish to see Polish apples line the shelves at supermarkets in China in the near future," said Jacek Bogucki, Secretary of State in the Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Bogucki made these remarks on the Second Polish-Chinese Business Day at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Beijing Tuesday.
Forty-eight Polish enterprises and more than 300 entrepreneurs attended this event, which greeted visitors with a variety of Polish food and other agricultural products.
"Quality and safety are the biggest advantages for Polish food exports," said Bogucki, "apple, diary and meat products are all flagship products among these exports."
As Polish enterprises seek greater access to Chinese market, Chinese enterprises also make endeavors to tighten up business ties between the two countries.
One of them, Air China commenced Beijing-Warsaw nonstop service in September, the second air route linking China and Central and Eastern Europe.
Such efforts are hailed as a facilitation of the construction of an "Aerial Silk Road", as well as a boost of bilateral trade and people-to-people exchanges.
Apart from praises, both Chinese and Polish enterprises are ready in the future to promote bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, science and technology, education, tourism.
This event is part of the activities marking the Anufood China 2016 which opens on Nov. 16.
