BEIJING, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- The Civil Aviation Administration of China on Sunday sent three aviation experts to Taiwan to help investigate the TransAsia plane crash.

The three-person team is led by Xie Zinan, director of the accident investigation center of the China Academy of Civil Aviation Science and Technology. They will stay in Taiwan for around a week.

Flight GE235 of TransAsia Airways, carrying 58 people, crashed into a Taipei river on Feb. 4, killing at least 40 people.

Among the 53 passengers on the flight from Taipei to Kinmen were 31 tourists from the mainland and 22 residents of Taiwan. Three injured mainland tourists have shown signs of recovery.
