New direct flight links Kunming with Thailand's Krabi

KUNMING, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Yunnan Lucky Air, a subsidiary of Hainan Airlines, will begin direct flights from Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province, with the Thai resort island of Krabi from Feb. 11.

The flight will cut the travel time between the two regions to around two hours and 45 minutes. The route will be served every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, departing Kunming at 00:15 a.m. and arriving Krabi at 2:00 a.m..

The returning flight departs from Krabi at 3:00 a.m. and lands in Kunming at 6:45 a.m..

Krabi in southern Thailand is a popular travel destination for Chinese tourists.
