BEIJING, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Tuesday sent a congratulatory message to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) to mark the 85th anniversary of the latter's founding.

In the message, the Central Committee of CPC said it was pleased to see that in the past 85 years, the CPV has unified the Vietnamese people and has led them to the national liberation and unification, as well as has accomplished great achievements in the socialist construction and reform.

The CPC is confident that Vietnam, under the the leadership of the Central Committee of CPV with Nguyen Phu Trong as the secretary general, will realize its objects in the course of reform and innovation, and herald the 12th National Congress of the CPV with greater achievement.

The cooperation between the two parties is conducive to the course of each country's socialist construction and also plays a pivot role in promoting healthy bilateral relations between China and Vietnam, the message said.

The CPC said that it attaches great importance to the bilateral ties, and consider the traditional relationship between the two countries as a previous treasure for both parties as wells both peoples.

The CPC stands ready to work with Vietnam to carry forward strategic cooperation, bearing in mind a strategic and long-term perspective and the need to steer bilateral relations in the correct direction.
