HONG KONG, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- Taiwan's share prices closed down 2.43 percent on Tuesday with the weighted index down 225.77 points at 9,048.34, according to news reaching here from Taipei.
Turnover totaled 110.10 billion new Taiwan dollars (about 3.44 billion U.S. dollars) during the trading session.
