Nanjing party chief probed for graft

BEIJING, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Yang Weize, the Party chief of the eastern Chinese city of Nanjing, is being investigated for suspected serious violation of party disciplines and laws, said the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) in a statement Sunday.

Yang is also member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee.
