BEIJING, Dec. 30 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese ambassador to Malaysia on behalf of the Red Cross Society of China handed over a check of 100,000 U.S. dollars to the Malaysian Red Crescent to help the Malaysian people who suffer from recent flood.

During the donation ceremony in Kuala Lumpur onSaturday, Ambassador Huang Huikang said the Chinese people are concerned about the serious flood occurred recently in Malaysia for Malaysia has a long friendship with China.

The Malaysian people in the distressed areas are not alone, because the Chinese people will stand by them and face the difficulties together with them, he said, adding that he hoped their normal life would be resumed as soon as possible.

The Chinese Embassy in Malaysia has recently donated 50,000 U.S. dollars to three states of Malaysia, among which 30,000 U.S. dollars goes to the worst-hit Terengganu, and 10,000 U.S. dollars to Kelantan and Pahang respectively.
