Seminar on int'l situation and Chinese diplomacy held in Beijing

BEIJING, Dec. 19 (Xinhuanet) – A seminar on international situation and Chinese diplomacy was held on Thursday at the Institute of World Economics and Politics Chinese Academy of Social Science in Beijing.

Mr. Zhang Yuyan, director of Institute of World Economics and Politics of Chinese Academy of Social Science and chief editor of “World Politics and Economics” addressed the seminar which was organized by editorial office of “World Politics and Economics”.

Against the background of China’s deepening reforms and changes in international situation, scholars and professionals held discussions on several hot topics, including theories and implementation of diplomacy with Chinese features, "Belt and Road Initiative", relations between world powers, and so forth.

Yuan Zhengqing, the director of editorial office of "World Politics and Economics"; Professor Chen Zhimin, dean of School of International Relations and Public Affairs of Fudan University; Tang Yongsheng, standing deputy director of strategy institute at National Defence University PLA China; Li Dongyan, researcher of Institute of World Economics and Politics, Chinese Academy of Social Science presided over four sessions of the seminar respectively.

Experts from dozens of institutes and universities joined the seminar.
