JINAN, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- At least 18 people have died after a food company caught fire on Sunday evening in east China's Shandong Province, said local authorities on Monday.
The fire broke out at 7 p.m. Sunday at a carrot packaging workshop of Longyuan Food Co., Ltd in Shouguang City, a town known for its greenstuff. It was put out at around 9:30 p.m..
Thirteen injured people are being treated in hospital.
The managers of the company have been put under police control. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
