BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao on Sunday urged the cooperation with Laos in connectivity and law enforcement.

China will firmly promote the comprehensive strategic cooperation with Laos and maintain exchanges between senior officials of the two countries, Li said at a meeting with visiting Lao President Choummaly Sayasone.

Choummaly, together with leaders of Bangladesh, Cambodia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan and Tajikistan, attended a dialogue meeting on strengthening connectivity and improving cooperation on Saturday in Beijing, at which Chinese President Xi Jinping announced China will contribute 40 billion U.S. dollars to set up a Silk Road Fund.

Choummaly told Li that Laos considers the dialogue on strengthening connectivity partnership a significant boost to regional cooperation.

Laos is willing to improve cooperation and exchanges with China in all aspects and at all levels, he said.
