China pledges closer exchanges with A Just Russia party

BEIJING, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- China's top legislator Zhang Dejiang met with the chairman of A Just Russia Sergei Mironov in Beijing on Thursday, and vowed closer party-to-party ties and parliamentary exchanges with Russia.

Regarding the China-Russia all-round strategic partnership as an example of relations between major countries, Zhang, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), said presidents of both countries had met several times this year and had reached important agreements on the future development of bilateral ties.

Calling party-to-party ties and parliamentary exchanges very important components of China-Russia relations, Zhang said the Communist Party of China (CPC) highly values its relations with A Just Russia.

The Chinese NPC hopes to facilitate closer ties the Russian Parliament, he added.

Mironov said A Just Russia expected to enhance exchanges and cooperation with the CPC.
