BEIJING, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi will pay a visit to Vietnam on Oct. 27 at the invitation of Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh.

During the stay, Yang and Minh will co-chair the seventh meeting of the China-Vietnam steering committee on cooperation, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying announced Friday.
