BEIJING, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) will discuss cyber security in Beijing next week as they seek to enhance trust and cooperation in cyberspace.

The meeting, due on Oct. 21, is the first of its kind since the establishment of the China-Japan-ROK cyber security consultation mechanism this year, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei confirmed at a regular news briefing.

The three countries will introduce their respective cyber policies and discuss the formulation of cyberspace international rules, the spokesman added.
