CARACAS, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Venezuelan Vice President Jorge Arreaza Tuesday congratulated the national athletes who have won medals at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China.

Via Twitter, Arreaza spotlighted the performances of swimmer Carlos Claverie and judoka Elvismar Rodriguez for winning bronze medals in their respective sports.

"Congratulations to our young countrymen Carlos Claverie and Elvismar (for their) bronze medals at Nanjing 2014," Arreaza posted.
