First group of Malaysian students certified by ICLTA

BEIJING, Aug. 11 (Xinhuanet) -- First batch of Malaysians, who attended the Chinese training in Beijing, were certified by the International Chinese Language Teachers Association (ICLTA) in China recently, according to the Malaysian Sin Chew Daily.

They are now qualified for the posts of teaching Chinese at primary or middle schools in and out of China.

With professional qualities enhanced and better understanding of the Chinese culture, these students will commit themselves to promoting the Chinese culture and contributing to the Malaysian society, according to the director of this course.

This training course is jointly initiated by the Beijing International Center For Chinese Language and Institute of China Studies, University of Malaya, drawing lots from Malaysian colleges and Chinese-major students of the University of Malaya.
