BEIJING, June 23 (Xinhua) -- Zhao Hongzhu, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) met with Juan Carlos Wills, secretary-general of the Colombian Conservertive Party here on Monday.
Zhao, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, said China and Colombia are both developing countries and they share extensive common interests.
China stands ready to work with the Colombian side to boost reciprocal cooperation in various areas and enhance the bilateral relationship, Zhao said.
The CPC is willing to increase exchanges of governance experience with all major political parties in Colombia including the Colombian Conservertive Party, to speed up the development of the two nations, said the CPC official.
Hailing the development of the bilateral relationship, Wills said the Colombian Conservative Party admires China's achievement of reform and opening up and that the Colombian side will borrow the CPC's experience in its own drive to develop the party.
