Chinese president's envoy to attend Egyptian president's inauguration

BEIJING, June 7 (Xinhua) -- China's Industry and Information Technology Minister Miao Wei will attend the Egyptian president's inauguration ceremony slated for Sunday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei announced here Saturday.

Miao, a special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping, is invited by Egypt's outgoing interim President Adli Mansour.

Egypt's presidential election commission on Tuesday officially announced ex-military chief Abdel- Fattah al-Sisi to be the new president of the most populous Arab state.
