BEIJING, May 30 (Xinhua) -- China appreciates the value of the
Shangri-La Dialogue as an important platform to discuss Asian
security, and will not be absent from the event in Singapore, a
Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Friday.
Spokesman Qin Gang said at a daily press briefing that Chinese
military and diplomatic officials have attended all the annual
conferences of the dialogue in recent years.
Wang Guanzhong, deputy chief of general staff of the Chinese
People's Liberation Army (PLA), will lead the Chinese delegation to
the dialogue this year.
