Vietnam allows Chinese, U.S. vessels to enter its waters to search for missing Malaysian jet

HANOI, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam allowed Chinese and U.S. vessels to enter its waters to search for the missing Malaysian Airlines flight, said Vietnam's National Committee for Search and Rescue Monday.

According to the committee, three Chinese vessels and one U.S. vessel were licensed by the Vietnamese defense ministry.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 8 (Xinhua) -- A Malaysian passenger plane carrying 239 people, including 227 passengers and 12 crew members, has lost contact with air traffic control after leaving Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur, the carrier said Saturday.
