China's leaders celebrate New Year with political advisors

BEIJING, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) -- China's leaders on Tuesday morning celebrated the New Year of 2014 with political advisors in Beijing.

President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang, and five other senior officials of the Communist Party of China including Zhang Dejiang, Yu Zhengsheng, Liu Yunshan, Wang Qishan and Zhang Gaoli attended a tea party held by the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China's top political advisory body.

Xi delivered a speech during the gathering.
