KUALA LUMPUR, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- World No.1 Lee Chong Wei and Li Xuerui both made a step closer to the champions of Badminton World Federation (BWF) Superseries Finals after the semifinals here on Saturday.
Lee outperformed Danish shuttler Jan O Jorgensen for the second consecutive day by 21-14, 21-16 in the men's singles semifinals.
Compared with the previous game on Friday with the Dane, Lee said he was more focused and aggressive.
In the final on Sunday, Lee will face Indonesia's Tommy Sugiarto, who beat No. 2 seed Kenichi Tago of Japan 21-14, 19-21, 21-5.
China's Li Xuerui continued her winning streak in the tournament by defeating South Korea's Bae Yeon Ju 21-15, 21-9. However, the world top women's singles player said the game was more difficult than the score had suggested, and Bae was more resilient compared with their previous match in the group stage.
Li will play Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei, who saved three match points against No.1 seed Wang Shixian in a three-set victory, 15-21, 21-19, 22-20.

Ma Jin/Tang Jinhua will try to defend China's dominance in the women's doubles against Christinna Pedersen/Kamilla Rytter Juhl from Denmark. The Chinese pair qualified after their semifinal opponent - Yu Yang/Wang Xiaoli pulled out due to injury.
In the mixed doubles, China's Xu Chen was forced to retire for injury with his partner Xu Chen, sending Joachim Fischer Nielsen/Christinna Pedersen of Denmark to the final to meet the other Chinese pair and top seeds Zhang Nan/ Zhao Yunlei.
