China, EU schedule economic and trade dialogue

BEIJING, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- China and the European Union (EU) will hold the fourth High-Level Economic and Trade Dialogue on Oct. 24 in Brussels, capital of Belgium, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying announced here on Wednesday.

Hua explained that Chinese Vice Premier Ma Kai will co-chair the dialogue with Olli Rehn, European Commission vice-president and European economic and monetary affairs commissioner, and Karel De Gucht, EU trade commissioner.

According to the spokeswoman, Ma will also pay official visits to Belgium, Iceland and Ireland from Oct. 25 to 30 at the invitation of the federal government of Belgium, Iceland's Prime Minister Sigmundur Gunnlaugsson and Eamon Gilmore, Ireland's deputy prime minister.
