BEIJING, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- Russia has many "very good" colleges and universities for Chinese students to choose from, said Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Tuesday.
These schools include some traditional universities, such as Russia's most famous Lomonosov Moscow State University and St. Petersburg State University, which is one of the country's oldest schools and Medvedev's alma mater, the prime minister said.
These universities have a fine tradition of Russian and foreign language teaching, including Chinese, Medvedev said during an online chat with Chinese netizens via Xinhuanet.com, the official website of Xinhua News Agency.
He also mentioned Far Eastern Federal University, saying the school has a brand new campus in Vladivostok and offers sound conditions and a comfortable environment for learning Russian and foreign languages.
There are also many other universities for Chinese students to choose from, Medvedev said.
The prime minister said Chinese and Russian are "not the easiest languages in the world," adding those who can speak Chinese are "respectable," as it is a very old and difficult language with special characters.
Meanwhile, he said Russian learners can also learn Russian literature.
