BEIJING, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on Sunday issued safety advice before China's week-long holiday from Oct. 1 to 7.
The instructions urges tourists not to climb mountains that are not developed by management agencies. People are asked to take public transport vehicles to join large-scale events and avoid rush hours.
The MPS warned tourists off over-crowded areas in a bid to avoid potential stampedes, asking them to listen to the command staff at events.
It is best not to take elders and children to crowded areas, said the instruction.
