BEIJING, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Wang Jiarui, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met with the special envoy of Kim Jong Un, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) here Wednesday.

Wang, who is vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met with Choe Ryong Hae, a member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Choe left Pyongyang by air earlier Wednesday morning.

PYONGYANG, May 22 (Xinhua) -- A special envoy of Kim Jong Un, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), left here Wednesday for a visit to China, the official KCNA news agency reported.

Choe Ryong Hae, director of the General Political Bureau of the Korean People's Army (KPA) and member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) Central Committee, left Pyongyang by air for the visit, the KCNA said. Full story 

DPRK releases Chinese fishing boat, fishermen

BEIJING, May 21 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese fishing boat held by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) with 16 fishermen onboard was released early on Tuesday, the Foreign Ministry confirmed on Tuesday.

Ministry spokesman Hong Lei made the remarks at a regular press conference here, quoting report by the owner of the vessel. Full story

BEIJING, May 20 (Xinhua) -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei on Monday called for the full implementation of relevant UN Security Council resolutions after the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) fired missiles into the East Sea.

The DPRK Monday fired two more short-range missiles into the East Sea, after launching one on Sunday and three on Saturday, according to Yonhap News Agency of the Republic of Korea (ROK). Full story
