BEIJING, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- China’s 30-year-old singing competition, which had been “discovering” young singing talents are now recruiting contestants worldwide specializing in three major singing styles. Xinhuanet.com, the country’s most popular news website, provides channels for vocalists to distinguish themselves on the stage of the grand galas and new media.
Xinhuanet.com will organize a 9-member (or group) team, 3 member (or group) for each style, to sing up for semi-finals and the final grand gala together with representative teams of local TV stations from 31 provinces and municipalities, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and five other national websites.
