BEIJING, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Rainy weather will persist in China's southwestern regions over the next three days, and a cold front is expected to sweep the country's north, China's meteorological authority forecast on Monday.
Parts of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and Sichuan and Yunnan provinces will experience continuous rainy weather until Wednesday, with heavy rains in some regions, according to a statement posted on the website of the National Meteorological Center.
Meanwhile, a cold front will sweep through the country's northern regions over the next three days, causing temperatures to drop by at least 4-8 degrees Celsius and bringing wind, the statement said.
The center also forecast that fog and haze will shroud parts of Hebei, Henan, Jiangsu and Fujian provinces on Monday, warning passengers of reduced visibility.
