BEIJING, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- Two ships of the China Marine Surveillance (CMS) have reached the waters around the Diaoyu Islands Tuesday morning to assert the country's sovereignty.
The CMS has drafted an action plan for safeguarding the sovereignty and would take actions pending the development of the situation, the CMS sources said.

SHANGHAI, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Three Chinese fishery patrol ships engaged in a verbal confrontation with Japanese Coast Guard ships in waters near the Diaoyu Islands on Wednesday, fishery authorities said Thursday.
The Yuzheng-202, Yuzheng-204 and Yuzheng-35001 patrol ships encountered the Japanese vessels early Wednesday during a routine patrol, according to a statement from the East China Sea Fishery Bureau. Full story
Chinese ships conduct routine patrol near Diaoyu Islands
SHANGHAI, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Three Chinese fishery patrol ships arrived at areas near the Diaoyu Islands around 2 a.m. Wednesday during a routine check, according to fishery authorities.
The law enforcement vessels, Yuzheng-202, Yuzheng-204 and Yuzheng-35001, were conducting routine patrols of the East China Sea, said sources with the East China Sea Fishery Bureau under the Ministry of Agriculture. Full story
