HANGZHOU, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Zhao Hongzhu was elected secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Sunday.
The election was held at the first plenary session of the 13th Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the CPC.
Zhao, born in July 1947, is a native of Ningcheng, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
He served as deputy minister of supervision from April 1998 to July 2000.
He was appointed secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the CPC in March 2007.
