BEIJING, May 12 (Xinhua) -- The People's Bank of China, China's central bank, has decided to reduce reserve requirement ratio by 0.5 percentage point, effective on May 18, 2012.

BEIJING, May 11 (Xinhua) -- China's inflation eased slightly in April as warming weather led to a drop in food prices, building up confidence that the government's annual targets set for the area could be met.
The consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, rose 3.4 percent year-on-year in April, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Friday. Full story
