Authorities investigating Chongqing vice mayor's entering into U.S. consulate   2012-02-09 23:19:14

BEIJING, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- Authorities are investigating the incident in which Chongqing Vice Mayor Wang Lijun entered the U.S. consulate in southwest China and remained there for one day, the office of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman said Thursday evening.

In response to inquiries, the office said Wang entered the U.S. general consulate in Chengdu on Feb. 6 and left after staying there for one day.
