TOKYO, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar traded at the upper 118 yen zone in early Tokyo deals Wednesday.
At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 118.67-68 yen compared with 118.32-42 yen in New York and 119.18-19 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The euro fetched 1.1872-1873 dollars and 140.90-91 yen against 1.1885-1895 dollars and 140.71-81 yen in New York and 1.1941-1943 dollars and 142.32-36 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday afternoon.
