REYKJAVIK, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Iceland saw an increase of fish caught in November 2014, a 7.6-percent year-on-year growth, according to figures issued on Tuesday by Statistics Iceland.
Statistics showed the total fish caught amounted to 88,060 tons, including 40,535 tons of demersal, 45,490 tons of pelagic and some shellfish, increasing by 7.6 percent compared with a total of 81,850 tons in November 2013.
The total fish caught in the period between December 2013 and November 2014 was 1,078,849 tons, down by 20.6 percent compared with 1,359,220 tons of fish caught in the previous period.
