MUMBAI, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Indian stocks closed lower Tuesday with the BSE benchmark index Sensex dropping 322.39 points, or 1. 15 percent, to 27,797.01 points from the previous close.
Stocks of auto, capital goods, consumer durables and banking sector fell amid a weak trend at other Asian bourses.
This was the second consecutive session for Sensex to have plunged over 300 points.
