Japan's trade deficit continues for 25th months, logs 9.37 bln USD in July

TOKYO, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- Trade deficit for Japan, the world's third largest economy, extended to the 25th consecutive month in July, logging at 964 billion yen (about 9.37 billion U.S. dollars) in the reporting month, the Finance Ministry said here Wednesday.

On a custom-cleared basis, the country's exports increased 3.9 percent from a year earlier, while imports rose 2.3 percent, said Japan's Finance Ministry.
