TOKYO, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares opened slightly lower Friday as traders here intended to cash in on gains after recent rallies.
At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 19.53 points, or 0.13 percent, from Thursday to 15,295.04.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 1.94 points, or 0.15 percent, at 1, 268.56.
