MUMBAI, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- Indian stocks edged higher for a third consecutive session on Wednesday.
The benchmark Sensex 30-share index closed at 25,918.95, up 38. 18 points or 0.15 per cent. It touched intraday high of 25,972.62 and a low of 25,791.79 in trade today.
Since the beginning of this year, the Sensex has gained 22.43 percent, while foreign institutional investors have bought 12.02 billion U.S. dollars from local equity markets.
