FRANKFURT, July 18 (Xinhua) -- The benchmark DAX index at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Friday fell by 0.35 percent and closed above 9,700 points.

The DAX index lost 33.86 points and closed at 9,720.02 points.
Software company SAP SE advanced by 1.4 percent and topped the list of risers.
On the other hand, HeidelbergCement AG lost 2.42 percent as the day's biggest loser.
