HONG KONG, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Taiwan's share prices closed up 0.22 percent on Thursday with the weighted index up 20.34 points at 8,944.16, according to news reaching here from Taipei.
Turnover totaled 94.93 billion new Taiwan dollars (3.14 billion U.S. dollars) during the trading session.
