TOKYO, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks closed 0.05 percent lower on Friday as investors awaited a closely watched U.S. job report.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 8.11 points, from Thursday at 15,063.77.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange dropped 0.88 point, or 0.07 percent, to 1,215. 89,
Precision machinery and wholesale issues were among the major losers while real estate, shipping and rubber shares gained most.
