SEOUL, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Seoul shares opened lower on Friday.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) fell 1. 7 points, or 0.09 percent, to trade at 1,992.00 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
The South Korean currency was quoted at 1,057.3 won against the U.S. dollar as of 9:15 a.m., up 0.1 won from Thursday's close.
