WARSAW, March 14 (Xinhua) -- Fiat Autio Poland (FAP), which owns a car factory in Tychy, southern Poland, made a profit of around 90 million U.S. dollars, according to company representatives on Friday.
This is the best result for several years and comes despite a reduction in production output.
FAP sold around 4-million-dollar worth of cars last year, about 6 percent down on the previous year and 20 percent down on 2010 and 2011.
This reduction in sales is related to lesser production of cars, 15percnet fewer in 2013 compared to 2012, although it is still the leading producer in Poland, with almost 300,000 cars turned out in 2013.
The factory employs a workforce of 3,340 people.
