SARAJEVO, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- Mostar, a tourism city of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), will soon open direct flights to Rome, local media reported on Wednesday.
The Mostar airport will soon sign an agreement with Rome to inaugurate direct flights between the two cities, according to Fena, the Federal News Agency of BiH.
Some issues remained to be solved, such as subsidies, but it is expected to be resolved in the next few days, it reported, quoting an official at the Mostar Airport.
Mostar is a popular tourism city in the region. Many Italians visit the city during the summer days, most flying to Mostar on chartered planes.
Airports in BiH are in the process of expanding having seen more tourists coming from European countries.
