BEIJING, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- Japanese car maker Nissan will recall 2,855 of its luxury brand of Infiniti starting on Dec. 24, China's quality watchdog said Thursday.
The recall involves Infiniti M25L and M35L sedans manufactured between Jan. 19, 2012 and Aug. 26, 2013, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement.
Those vehicle may have defective rear-door locks, which in extreme cases may appear to be locked while it is actually not, thus posing safety hazards, the statement said.
Nissan China Investment Co., Ltd will replace faulty parts for affected car owners free of charge, according to the statement.

Nissan recalls 153,000 vehicles over braking problems
CHICAGO, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Nissan Motor Co. is recalling 153, 000 sport-utility vehicles, mostly in the United States, to fix braking problems, the Detroit News reported Wednesday.
The recall covers 2013-2014 Pathfinder SUVs, 2013 Infiniti JX35, and 2014 Infiniti QX60 crossover vehicles. Full story
