Japan's October current account turns red for first time in nine months

TOKYO, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Japan's current account balance in October logged deficit at 127.9 billion yen (about 1.24 billion U. S. dollars) for the first time in nine months, the country's finance ministry said on Monday.

Among the key components, the balance of goods trade came to a deficit of 1.09 trillion yen (about 10.57 billion dollars), said the ministry.
