SINGAPORE, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 19.25 points, or 0.59 percent, to close at 3,267.65.
A total of 3.72 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 34 billion Singapore dollars (1.07 billion U.S. dollars).
Gainers outnumbered losers 265 to 159, while 525 others finished unchanged.
The STI index lost 20.73 points, or 0.63 percent, to close at 3, 248.4 on Wednesday.
