NICOSIA, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Cyprus' trade deficit fell to 4.32 billion euros (about 5.8 billion U.S. dollars) between January and December 2012, compared to 4.90 billion euros in the corresponding period of 2011.
Cyprus' imports in 2012 stood at 5.75 billion euros, while exports were at 1.43 billion euros, a preliminary estimate published on Tuesday by the Cyprus Statistical Service shows.
Total imports/arrivals reached 425.8 million euros in December, of which 317.7 million euros were arrivals from other EU member states, and 108.1 million euros imports from third countries.
Total exports/dispatches reached 104.8 million euros of which 57.0 million euros were dispatches to other member states of the EU and 47.8 million euros concerned exports to third countries. (1 euro = 1.34 U.S. dollars)
