TOKYO, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Nikkei rebounded Thursday in Tokyo market as weak yen boost export-oriented issues.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended up 100.90 points, or 1. 13 percent, at 9,055.20, its highest close since Sept. 25.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 8.15 points, or 1.10 percent, at 751. 42.
Major gainers were steelmakers, utilities and miscellaneous products makers, and the losers were oil distributors, glass makers and sea transport firms.
The turnover was about 969.8 billion yen (about 12.09 billion U. S. dollars).
