TOKYO, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar traded at the upper 78 yen level early Wednesday in Tokyo.
At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 78.85-87 yen compared with 78.84-94 yen in New York and 78.91-92 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The euro fetched 1.3105-3106 dollars and 103.34-37 yen against 1.3048-3058 dollars and 102.93-103.03 in New York and 1.3001-3002 dollars and 102.59-63 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday afternoon.
