JAKARTA, Sept 26 (Xinhua) -- The Asian Solidarity Economy Forum (ASEF) will be held in Manado, capital of Indonesia's North Sulawesi province from Oct. 1 to 3, and with 500 delegates from 17 countries have been registered, a member of the organizing committee said on Wednesday.
Peggy Mekel said the delegates would consist of businessmen, economists, non-governmental organization (NGO) figures from countries including Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Timor Leste, Nepal, Australia, Canada and Germany.
"The forum is highly expected to result in outcomes that bring progresses to the country and the province's growths," Peggy said, quoted by the Antara news agency.
Peggy said the meeting would discuss the implementation of five economy solidarity dimensions consisting of economy assurance, climate and healthy environment, socially-responsible management system, social welfare improvement and improvement of values adhered by member countries.
The forum will highlight discussions to encourage social entrepreneur, microfinance and global network among member countries, Peggy said.
